Miriam Cates’ 2023 report provided a horrifying survey of how embedded pro-porn teaching resources have infiltrated and become embedded in the RSHE / PSHE curriculum. These include lesson plans, slideshows, and other material that say porn isn’t bad for you; that the dangers are ‘unknown’; that you should support the industry by paying for pornography; or that porn is a ‘treat’.
Yes, and these are not misogynists doing this. These are not men or the Patriarchy. They have not "internalized sexism". These are the woke feminists that whitewashed this horror show, precisely because it is such a viscous attack on Patriarchal norms around sex.
Criticism of pornography is conservative-coded, that is why the media won't touch it. Its "patriarchy" coded. Its "telling women what they can and cant do with their bodies". Concerns about pornography are met with allegations of sexism by the "porn literacy" crowd. Chrsitopher Prepper, author of "talk to your boys" partners with Erica Lust to teach "porn literacy" on his substack. The link is there for all to see. Its amazing everyone insists on missing this. Imagine blasting pornography into the skull of every boy, then having the nerve to lecture him about consent and misogyny. We have mind-raped our boys and anyone who objects is accused of wanting to ban the Statue of David.
I think you guys are missing a big element in the porn conversation. It used to be about exploiting women for male use. Now it has become about being such a brutal stick-in-the-eye to its opponents. Its literally terrorism at this point. It is obvious that the political left will defend and has been defending it, even if they do not consume it. See the "porn literacy" people's need to minimize its harms.
The traditional "patriarchy" HATES pornography. Its not just about profit and using women. Its about a flagrant and smug disdain for tradition al ideas around acceptable female behaviour and sexual norms, calls for modesty etc. How else could so many people who claim to care about women justify and hand-wave all concerns away, even now? It is a brutal attack on our boys. We turn around and lecture them about misogyny and consent after we did this to them as I describe here:

Pornography makes men extremely angry and always has - that is exactly what its proponents and apologists love about it.
Typo: should be Judy Blume ("fumblings of Judy Bloom").
Thank you for pointing out the typo. It has been updated.

The Christian right rightly disapprove of porn too, and not for entirely different reasons https://open.substack.com/pub/sacredheartchristian/p/stand-up-against-the-culture-of-lust?r=8t5tx&utm_medium=ios.
Of course they do. That is the real reason the media won't touch it. Its a conservative coded objection.
